What is Eid

Eid (عید) is an Arabic term that translates to “festival” or “celebration.” In the Islamic context, Eid refers to Islamic religious festivals celebrated by Muslims worldwide. These festivals last for three days and hold great religious and cultural significance in Islam, marking occasions of joy, thankfulness, and unity.
The two main Eid festivals in Islam are Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Eid ki Dua/Dua for Eid

On the day of Eid, this Eid ki dua is proven from the Companions of Prophet Muhammadﷺ. When they met, some companions would say to each other;

تَقَبَّلَ اللهُ مِنَّا وَمِنكُم
Taqabbalallahu Minna Wa Minkum
May Allah accept from us and from you.
اللہ ہمارے اور آپ کے نیک اعمال کو قبول فرمائے

Eid al Fitr

Eid al Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast, marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. It is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the month that comes after Ramadan.

On this day, Muslims all over the world sacrifice animals, typically sheep, goats, cows, or camels, representing Ibrahim’s devotion and obedience to Allah.
